EXPEDITION TITANIC 2012, ADVENTURE DIVE TITANIC, DIVE TITANIC, RMS TITANIC
Dive to see Titanic. We are pleased to announce there will be a Titanic expedition in the summer of 2012 – with just 40 people to go, and we are opening bookings now as it will on a first come first serve basis. This is an incredibly rare opportunity to explore the world’s most famous shipwreck in person.
Descend 12,500 feet into the North Atlantic to the deep-sea plain where Titanic lies at eternal rest. Explore the ghostly wreck and her debris field aboard the Russian Mir submersibles. See with your own eyes the Titanic’s lookout, bridge, telemotor and other artifacts that played a defining role in the greatest maritime disaster of its age. You will not only get a chance to dive to the bottom of the ocean but be one of the rarest to do so.
Course of the experience Dive to Titanic – 2012 expedition.
This expedition takes place over 13 days.
Day 1: arrival at St John, Newfoundland. Night at St John.
Day 2: Board the expedition ship (5 star service).
Day 3: en route to the diving site.

Day 13: Arrival at St John. End of expedition.
After a final briefing, you enter the submarine which will be then craned into the water. Ballasts are tested then the dive can start… You will dive in one of the MIR submarines. Especially designed to sustain the enormous pressure of the depth, these submarines can carry one pilot and two passengers. The internal pressure remains constant at one atmosphere. Your dive will last between 8 and 10 hours. You will keep in mind the images of RMS TITANIC for the rest of your life. The lights on the submarine will allow you to clearly see the bow of the ship, but also the propellers, engine rooms, the main bridge and the famous grand staircase. This extraordinary dive will get you to relive the dramatic and epic journey Titanic, one of the most emblematic ships of all times.
Participants and guests.
The expedition 2012 will be for 40 people. You can choose to dive or to be a non diving participant (cost: 10,000 USD). If you wish to organise a private expedition for yourself and friends or corporate people, see our alternative offer.
Titanic:
1912… a few months after the foundation of the Republic China and the death of writer Rudyard Kipling, some 3,547 passengers are ready to cross the Atlantic in search of a better world. RMS Titanic, the new flagship of the White Star leaves Southampton on the 10th April 1912 to enter History. The night of the 14th of April, the sea is unusually calm under a moonless sky. Suddenly, Frederick Fleet spots an iceberg… only too late. 1.500 people lost their lives. After many years of searching and exploring, Dr Robert Ballard finally found the wreck of RMS Titanic in 1986. Since then, many expeditions have been organized in submarines to gather data and artifacts. Thousands of objects have been surfaced all these years and now each dive is strictly regulated and the focus of each dive is placed on scientific research.
