The Lynx:
First rocket aircraft using non toxic liquid fuel, the Lynx is the size of a business jet, carrying the pilot and a passenger up to 200.000 feet. Taking off horizontally as a traditional plane, the Lynx will then climb up to 138.000 feet at an angle of 70° at mach 2. At the reached altitude, it will cut its engines off to glide up to 200.000. The Lynx will provide the most spectacular view of planet earth and the black sky above.
Alone with the pilot, the passenger will benefit from an extraordinary and personal experience.
After contemplating the earth, the Lynx will glide back in large circles to land horizontally as a normal aircraft.
Total flight time is 40mn
Advantages of the Lynx:
- Use of non toxic liquid fuel
- Take off horizontal like a plane
- The passenger will feel weightlessness
- The best view in the copilot seat
- An exclusive yet affordable experience

XCor Aerospace: pioneering space tourism
The Lynx is an aircraft engineered by XCor Aerospace, a US company based in the Mojave Desert, California. Founded in 1999 by four talented engineers, Xcor is one of the participants to the Ansari XPrize which recognized the efforts to promote space tourism – contest where Rick Searfoss was Chief Judge, and now test pilot for the Lynx. Xcor Aerospace is one of the leading suppliers of NASA, and especially for propulsion and guiding equipment of the shuttles in space.
The Lynx is not the first project done by XCor Aerospace. The company has already demonstrated its talent with the EZ Rocket, a small rocket propelled plane which validated the capacity of the engines to be shut off and restarted as well as being reusable. The EZ rocket plane has been demonstrated at numerous testings and airshows in California.
